While interviewing staff at Amnesty International in January 2014 we were fortunate to be able to interview Carlos Reyes-Manzo, a Chilean photo-journalist who had personal experience of detention without trial, a fundamental principle protected by Magna Carta.
In this interview, Carlos describes his experience – an experience that highlights that the rule of law by itself is not enough, that the law and those who uphold it must be fair, democratic and just.
With thanks to Amnesty International UK for facilitating this interview.
